Our Towne is YOUR hometowne resource that is direct mailed and distributed to high traffic community locations, absolutely free, in select neighborhoods of Saratoga County. Combined, we are delivering almost 20,000 publications, 6 times per year to homeowners, area businesses, schools, churches and community groups in the Village of Ballston Spa, Town of Ballston, the Town of Milton, the community of Rock City Falls, Town of Malta, Mechanicville, Round Lake, the west-most side of Saratoga Springs and into Greenfield Center.
Each glossy finish printed edition is unique to the neighborhood it serves and features articles about locally owned businesses, notable people and peoples in the neighborhood, a community calendar and more. Look for our fun special extras like seasonal specific content, trivia contexts, “Good Eats” from our neighborhood contributors and our course, the best in “BuyLocal” offers and specials from your favorite neighborhood businesses.
Our Towne has a significant digital presence and we maintain our connectivity to our readers and neighborhoods thru an interactive website, social media channels and email marketing programs. We are actively involved with the Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association, the Malta Business and Professional Association and the Southern Saratoga Chamber of Commerce and donate our services frequently to our neighborhood non-profit organizations.

As Publisher and recently named “Ad Whisperer” of Our Towne Ballston Spa, Our Towne Saratoga West and Our Towne Malta, Angela McFarland manages the sales and marketing teams and oversees the editorial content for each community. A 20-year small business advertising veteran, she is also the owner and publisher of The Ballston Journal, a paid weekly newspaper established in 1798.
McFarland has called Ballston Spa home for 12 years with her husband Mark, a self-employed contractor, and their son Eric, a charming 10 year old and is an active, proud “just like a mom” to Mark Jr., Tanner, Ian and Hunter McFarland – ages 22, 19, 16 and 12 years old respectively. They are a busy family with Capital District roots, extended family in the area and are members of the Ballston Spa Presbyterian Church.
Professionally, McFarland brings to Our Towne extensive media sales experience, small business development expertise emphasizing sales leadership and staff empowerment and is past-president of the Ballston Spa Rotary Club. She has served as a volunteer in a number of community protects and is well known as an active contributor and supporter of a number of small projects with a very special and personal interest in speed needs children and program.
